Privacy at Parcel Atlas
Last updated September 18, 2026
Calculator entries stay on your device
Parcel Atlas has no account system. After you edit the calculator, its values are stored in your browser's local storage so they can be restored on your next visit. Choose Clear in the calculator, or clear this site's browser data, to remove them.
If you install Parcel Atlas or use it offline, your browser also caches the site's interface files on this device. Clearing Parcel Atlas's site data removes that offline cache.
Shared scenarios
The Share button places calculator values after the # in a link. Browsers do not send that fragment to the hosting server. When someone opens the link, Parcel Atlas reads the scenario and removes the values from the visible address. A shared scenario does not replace an existing saved setup until the visitor edits it. Anyone who receives the original link can read the values encoded in it. Older links may place those values after a ?instead. The hosting service can receive those legacy query values on the first request; Parcel Atlas still supports them for compatibility and removes them from the address after loading. Newly created links always use the fragment format.
Optional browser-agent access
Compatible browsers may let you explicitly enable calculator tools for an AI agent in the current tab. They are off by default. Once enabled, that agent can read the visible calculator state and can change values that are then saved on this device. Calculator values and tool results may be processed under the privacy terms of the agent provider you choose.
Services used today
Parcel Atlas keeps an anonymous daily count for each page. The counter sends only the page path and stores only the UTC date, page path, and aggregate number of views. It also keeps anonymous daily totals for install-related actions, such as when the install option is shown or selected, whether the browser prompt is accepted or dismissed, and launches from an installed copy. These totals do not include the visitor's platform or device details.
Neither counter stores IP addresses, browser details, referrers, cookies, unique visitor IDs, or calculator values. Browsers that enable Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are not counted.
To limit automated inflation, the hosting edge uses the connection address transiently to create an hour-scoped rate-limit key. That key is held only in temporary server memory and is never written to the analytics database.
Two ad locations are reserved in the layout but remain hidden until relevant sponsorships are active. They load no advertiser code or tracking today. The hosting service may still process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser details, and request time.
Future changes
If advertising, additional analytics, or payment links are added, this notice and the site's consent controls will be updated before those services go live.
